Photography > What Memories Bring

The photographs in this series started one early morning observing the discarded trimmings from flowering plants and shrubs I had left over night on the deck. Initially I was just transfixed by the beauty of the light hitting the discards and the accidental colour and texture combinations. I decided it would be interesting to leave the discards and photograph their further decay. However, as I continued to watch, look and photograph through the summer and into the Fall of 2018 the discard trimmings triggered ethereal associations and memories. The photographs became metaphors for these memories.
