Obsessed with text...
This project has evolved as I have explored and practised asemic writing and it is, in part, the outcome of what happens in the studio between painting projects.
Although we respond to text /written/printed language through a complex decoding process (reading), text, words and individual letters in themselves have always held a sensual and formalist interest for me.
Text-based art also allows me to work as a writer within my practise as a visual artist.
