Ephemeral Allure: New Botanical Collages
June 19 – July 6, 2016 ArtsPlace, Annapolis Royal, NSRECEPTION with artist in attendance will be held July 3, 2016 11:30 - 2:00 pm.
Playfully dystopian, the collages suggest a world where environmental degradation has spawned new flora incorporating textile and print ephemera as a type of genetic modification. In the spirit of the scientific observation of botanical drawings, I invite you to view my investigations of these new strange flora and to contemplate with me, our fascination with beauty found within the exotic in nature - as un-natural as it may become.
